Nathan Marion: Founding Executive Director

nathan
One of the 50 CultureMakers of Seattle as listed in City Arts Magazine (January 2011) and founder of The Round, Nathan has been leading the "arts charge" here at the Abbey since it's start in September, 2005. Like most all staff at the Abbey, he began as a volunteer, and he still volunteers many extra hours.

While picking up a BA in Management from Western WA U and running his own landscaping company, he found a love for music and the arts through helping local musicians in Bellingham to develop (and also to connect with humanitarian nonprofits in 3rd world countries).

Nathan managed bands like The Lonely Forest (now signed to Atlantic/Trans), The Pale Pacific, and Late Tuesday as well as supporting his younger brother Isaac in his literary career (now a published author in 12+ countries with a major film out August, 2012).
